Solutions

Flood Early Warning Systems

Advanced prediction and localized alerting to protect communities from rapid-onset riverine and flash floods.

Continuous River Monitoring

Long-term hydrological data collection and telemetry from AWLR and AWVLR stations, for government water resources departments and environmental research.

RTDAS: Real-Time Hydromet Telemetry

A real-time data acquisition system (RTDAS) for river basins: AWLR and AWVLR stations, rain gauges and, soon, automatic weather stations, reporting over GSM, LoRa or satellite to one central view.

Canal & Irrigation Monitoring

Live water level and surface velocity readings at canal regulators, branch junctions and tail reaches, so irrigation teams can see changing conditions and plan field action.

Dam & Reservoir Monitoring

A live picture of reservoir level and spillway flow for dam and hydropower operators, with warnings for the communities downstream.

Smart City Urban Flooding

Level sensing at underpasses and municipal drains, with local warnings, so cities can see the next waterlogging point and act early.

Software

  • Aagah: Mobile app that brings flood forecasts, weather forecasts and early warnings to people.
  • DeviceCloud: Cloud for ClimMaTech devices: device list and map, live readings, history, alerts and reports.
  • Rakshak Control Centre: Web application for operators who run many warning sirens: alert areas, drills, approvals, delivery confirmation and an audit trail. Accepts CAP alerts and API alerts. (upcoming)

Scope notes

  • TARANG and PRAVAAH measure water level, and PRAVAAH also measures surface velocity. Calculating river discharge additionally needs a surveyed cross-section and a calibrated relationship between surface and average velocity.
  • RAKSHAK sounds warnings that a connected monitoring system, agency or operator decides to send. It does not detect or predict hazards by itself.
  • Enclosures are described as weatherproof. No IP rating or third-party approval is claimed for the devices.
  • The Data Logger and the Rakshak Control Centre are upcoming.
  • Prices are not published. Systems are designed to be low cost and are quoted for each project.
